Pre-Construction

A strong pre-construction effort is the first step toward a project’s overall success. During this phase of the construction process, NACG works closely with owners, designers, and other project stakeholders to ensure project excellence, maximum value, and risk mitigation. During this phase, our estimating team will analyze the construction documents, create a master schedule, prepare cost estimates, and suggest value engineering options which potentially can save the client money.

What We Do

The goal of the pre-construction phase is to develop a strategic plan defining project goals, budget and schedule requirements.  Pre-construction is an important time to map out the overall road to success.

  • Manage the pre-construction phase
  • Develop the project schedule
  • Prepare the full range of estimates, i.e., conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction
  • Perform constructability reviews
  • Manage the competitive bid process by soliciting qualified subcontractor bids, organizing and evaluating numbers
  • Prepare the final estimate and project budget
  • Identify and procure long-lead items
  • Manage subcontracts by writing comprehensive contract scopes (eliminating change orders) and awarding contracts to the most qualified and cost-effective subcontractors.
  • Obtain permits as required
